Belmont Serves

Belmont Serves is back!
From 9am until 1pm
At First Church UU in Belmont
404 Concord Ave
Belmont Citizens Forum is pleased to support Belmont Serves: Serving with Your Family and Friends, taking place on Monday, October 12, 2026 (Indigenous People’s Day). This annual community event brings residents together to care for the town through service projects and a town‑wide food drive benefiting the Belmont Food Pantry.
This year’s activities include outdoor beautification efforts, such as invasive Japanese knotweed removal and cleanup at Pequossette Park, and the continuation of the long‑standing food drive tradition. The event is co‑sponsored by Belmont Conservation Volunteers and the Belmont Food Pantry, and welcomes volunteers of all ages.
Food Drive Preparation
Community members help prepare thousands of donated bags by stapling informational flyers to them ahead of Belmont Serves Day. Volunteers can join the flyer‑stapling session on Tuesday, September 29 at 7 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 15 Ledgewood Place, Belmont.
To assist with distributing the bags throughout town, volunteers may pick up a route on Tuesday, October 6 at 7 PM, also at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
On October 12, teams will collect filled bags from across Belmont and bring them to a central sorting location, where donations will be organized for distribution through the Belmont Food Pantry.
Youth Service Hours
Belmont High School students can earn community service hours by participating. Students should contact their school counselor for guidance on reporting hours.
